He has traveled extensively including an overland journey from Sydney to London via S.E. The publishing hardcover book marked the end of 5 years of curating new art in Sydney. They nurtured everything from graduating painters to the development of a music festival. In 2000 he started a gallery in Sydney called SPACE2 ,with three friends, which welcomed artists in the local community. Graduating with the University Medal and Honours.
After studied in kindergarten, he studied Visual Communications at the University of Technology in Sydney.
In school he discovered technical drawing. He grew up and study at kindergarten in Sydney, Australia. He married with Lenka and they have a son, Quinn. James Gulliver Hancock is an Australian artist and illustrator currently working out of the Pencil Factory in Brooklyn, NY and homeland studio in Sydney, Australia.
